We are delighted to see our partners Janus Henderson launching their Returner Programme, another demonstration of the commitment our clients have made to diversity and support women to continue and return to their careers.
Breaking down the barriers
Janus Henderson recognises that returning to the workplace after an extended career break can be challenging. Returners can face barriers to re-entry, such as a lack of opportunities that offer flexible working arrangements, or opportunities that require recent working experience. Janus Henderson believes in the potential that Returners can offer, and that’s why they have launched a Returner Programme - an initiative designed to support experienced investment professionals back to the workplace. The 8 month programme will offer Returners the chance to carry out key roles within the Investment team, while utilising bespoke learning, coaching, networking and mentoring opportunities. They promote a flexible working policy within Janus Henderson and are open to hiring Returners on such arrangements.
The Returner Programme will commence at the beginning of March 2020 and run for 8 months. The positions will be London based (at 201 Bishopsgate). Returners will be competitively paid and have full access to an extensive benefits package. There may also be the opportunity to secure a permanent contract at the end of the programme.
The 3 positions they are recruiting for across the Investment department are as follows:
- Client Portfolio Manager – Fixed Income
- Assistant Client Portfolio Manager – Multi Asset and Alternatives
- Associate Portfolio Manager – Equities (Sustainable and Responsible Investment)

Therefore, this programme will suit Returners who are passionate about providing excellent client experiences, who thrive working and succeeding within a team, and who enjoy taking ownership of their work. You will have taken an extended career break of typically 2+ years and be seeking a return to the workplace.
