Janus Henderson is committed to improving diversity for the benefit of the firm, their clients and their people. In September 2017 they signed the Women in Finance Charter publicly setting a goal that by 2022, 25% (with a 5% tolerance) of its senior management in the UK would be women.
To achieve this goal they recognised that one of the many challenges would be in recruitment. Innovation would be required.
Charlie Brooks, Head of Recruitment, Janus Henderson: “We knew that doing things in the same old way would produce the same results. So we looked for a new diversity recruitment partner. There are a lot of agencies claiming to be able to put forward female candidates. E2W had a different approach based on their community of senior women working in our industry. We created a partnership with them. Since our partnership begun E2W have proven that they can provide us with great female talent for the roles we have released to them and we have made a number of senior appointments from their candidates. ”
Tina Freed, COO E2W: “At E2W we only work with firms who are committed to diversity and implement recruitment practices that support that commitment. Janus Henderson are among a handful of investment managers who have proven their commitment and we are delighted to be working with them. We can put forward members of our community for open roles in the secure knowledge that Janus Henderson have created an environment that will enable them to flourish. ”
