The E2W team’s new challenge for The Young Women’s Trust

The E2W team’s new challenge for The Young Women’s Trust

Tina.Freed / 19 Apr 2022

In April 2019 we were introduced to the Young Women’s Trust and were amazed at the work they do to help Young Women who are struggling to live on low or no pay, to get into work that is right for them. The Young Women’s Trust offers these women support similar to that we offer you, our members. The Young Women's Trust offers free coaching and personalised advice on job applications, conducts research, run campaigns and work with young women to build confidence and advocate for fair financial futures.

Many of you will remember back in 2019 the E2W team took part in a brutal commando style assault course and 5k run to raise money for our charity partner, Young Women’s Trust. Since then, we have successfully raised nearly ten thousand pounds, by our members and community completing various sporting challenges and pushing themselves for a fantastic cause.

It’s now time for the E2W team to step up and help push us over the £10,000 milestone, so we have decided to set ourselves a walking challenge. From the 12th April to the 12th May, we have targeted each person to walk 80km. Mark, who is more familiar on a bike has challenged himself to cycle 400km within this time frame.

Katie is feeling slightly smug as she has already managed 72km in the first week, which was helped massively by the beautiful weather over the Bank Holiday weekend, including a 14 mile walk around Bewl Water in Kent. As she has managed to get this far, she is upping her target to 120km.

Please show your support for the team and help us get over the massive £10,000 target by donating below. We will update you all and share some pictures of our progress!
