E2 Inspired - Weekly coffee break with Kate Phillips: City MD-housewife-City MD journey

Katie.Dix / 20 Nov 2020

For this week’s E2 Inspired series we welcome our special guest, Kate Phillips.

Kate is a Managing Director at NatWest who has led a number of large and complex business-critical change programmes including Ring-Fencing, Brexit and Cost Transformation.  She has recently been appointed COO, Financial Crime and is recognised as one of the top senior women in the Bank.

Her career began in corporate banking before moving to investment banking, and for the majority of her career she has been in direct client-facing roles where the ability to manage complex risk and drive revenue growth by offering services shaped to customer need is paramount. After taking a career break to raise their four children, she joined NatWest.

Kate has shared her amazing story and advice about her City MD-housewife-City MD journey.

She initiated and led the women's network for the Group’s investment bank, NatWest Markets,  is vocal in the gender balance debate and active in the push to stop talking and start doing.

Please watch the recording below. It would be great to hear your views, if you had similar experiences or are making a decision to have a career break please let us know. You can get in touch with Katie.
