A report in Fortune recognises E2W along with 12 other organisations as making the most significant commitments to gender diversity in the finance sector in their Women in Finance Charter commitments

Fortune reports that ‘Major banks—including HSBC UK, RBS and Lloyds—have committed to the government’s so-called Women in Finance Charter, which was established in March with the goal of adding more women to finance firms’ corporate boards and executive committees.  In all, 72 firms signed on to the Charter, and the Treasury announced on Tuesday that 60 of those companies have pledged to have at least 30% of senior roles held by women by 2021.

Of those 60, 13 financial firms, including E2W, Virgin Money, the Financial Conduct Authority, and Legal & General said they would have a 50/50 split between men and women. The other organizations with that same goal are the Treasury itself, Santander UK, HSBC UK, Affinity Capital, Capital Credit Union, the payment app Circle,Hannay Investments, compliance expert ionStar, and the London Capital Credit Union.’

E2W has set targets to:-

•    Support 50 women into senior management/board level roles at the financial services clients we are working with.
•    Support 100 women who wish to continue their financial services careers to be retained in consulting, contracting and other permanent positons in the sector.
•    Support 50 women, who would have otherwise been lost to the industry, to continue or return to careers.

Tina Freed Founder of E2W remarked “E2W are at the forefront of gender diversity in the finance sector. Helping and supporting our members to sustain and flourish in their financial services careers  is our success.”
