For this months E2 Passion series we welcome our special guest, Jack Daly.
Jack Daly is a postgraduate researcher in the Centre of Employment Relations, Innovation and Change based at Leeds University Business School. His research aims to explore gender pay gaps within professional service firms, how companies are responding to gender pay gaps, and how underlying assumptions of masculinity in the workplace contribute to this. Alongside this, he is interested in gender and employment relations, intersectional inequalities at work, and the role of labour in climate change responses.
- The session will explore the nature of the gender pay gap within the financial sectors, particularly the vital importance of understanding the role of discrimination within this.
- How underlying assumptions of masculinity within day-to-day work supports the careers of men and provide further barriers to women.
- What are the barriers to progress on the gender pay gap, and what can be done to begin to stimulate progress?
