For this week’s E2 Inspired series we welcome our special guest Carolin Schönherr

Carolin Schönherr is a senior business professional with 20 years of professional experience in Financial Services and a focus on non-financial risk management. She brings hands-on experience with setting up non-financial risk management frameworks across multiple countries and divisions for companies offering regulated financial products. Carolin started her career at JPMorgan, before moving to Credit Suisse in London. She was then headhunted to become the global Operational Risk Manager at Capula Investment Management, where she was responsible for developing and implementing the operational risk framework, policy, tool and processes in alignment with senior leadership. After successfully embedding Operational Risk Management in the business lines at Capula, Carolin is now working as independent risk advisor supporting clients with risk management, Risk as Service Ltd. She is working to the organisation's requirements and will provide concise technical expertise, industry knowledge and  practitioner’s experience. The client receives clear and measurable roadmaps, recommendations and designs for their non-financial risk and governance framework and implementation support as required by senior management.

About the Session:

Operational Resilience is not about protecting the reputation of your firms or the reputation of the industry as a whole. It is about preventing operational incidents from impacting consumers, financial markets and UK financial system. (Megan Butler, FCA, Dec 2019)

On March 29th 2021, the UK regulators jointly published a clear timeline for Operational Resilience requirements, with a first delivery milestone in March 2022. Join our interactive coffee break to understand the regulatory expectations, to explore how your existing work can be leveraged and discuss how to structure your Roadmap to Resilience. This session will be of particular interest to all Senior Managers (SMF24), all Risk managers and head of departments.
