For the past 15 years, Gaby has led behaviour change and strategic communication projects for militaries, governments and NGOs in over 20 countries, conducting studies on a wide range of topics including waste management and recycling, safety and security, recruitment of women, diversity, radicalisation, child marriage, and food security. She has also organised training projects on behaviour change research and measuring effectiveness for a range of clients including NATO, the Dutch MoD, the UK MoD, and European Special Forces and Maritime Special Forces. In 2018, Gaby founded Emic Consulting.
