E2 Healthier - Launching our ‘Walking and Talking for Mental Wellbeing’ initiative with E2W’s Counsellor & Therapist partner Sonia Minards.

Come and join other members of the E2W community for a virtual chat, meet old and new friends and maintain a strong network. We are welcoming members and non-members to join.

For this week’s E2 Healthier series we welcome our special guest, Sonia Minards back again and we are going to launch our ‘Walking and Talking for Mental Wellbeing’ initiative.

Let’s start with Walking:

This part of the initiative recognises that sometimes when you’re feeling a bit down or have a challenge that your facing having someone a friend or fellow E2W Member to reach out to a take a walk ( virtual or actual) with is all that is needed to make you feel better.  We are establishing a trusted and private mechanism for E2W Members to reach out to one another and organise those walks together.

Now the Talking:

We are delighted to be launching the talking initiative to support our community, with the help of Sonia in January 2021.

2020 has shown us more than ever how important it is to reach out, to talk, to share experiences, and emphasise with others.

Here at E2W we have created a unique mental wellbeing group to support our members during this time. We have partnered with Sonia to deliver a series of 6 weekly group sessions focused on:

  • Supporting mental wellbeing
  • Building insight to help you better understand and manage your mental health
  • Developing individual and collective resilience

Groups can be an especially powerful and beneficial way to gain support in our lives. We know how much better we feel when we’ve spent time talking, sharing, laughing, or crying with people in our lives who really listen and support us.
