Carolin Schönherr

Carolin Schönherr is a senior business professional with 20 years of professional experience in Financial Services and a focus on non-financial risk management. She brings hands-on experience with setting up non-financial risk management frameworks across multiple countries and divisions for companies offering regulated financial products. Carolin started her career at JPMorgan, before moving to Credit Suisse in London. She was then headhunted to become the global Operational Risk Manager at Capula Investment Management, where she was responsible for developing and implementing the operational risk framework, policy, tool and processes in alignment with senior leadership. After successfully embedding Operational Risk Management in the business lines at Capula, Carolin is now working as independent risk advisor supporting clients with risk management, Risk as Service Ltd. She is working to the organisation's requirements and will provide concise technical expertise, industry knowledge and  practitioner’s experience. The client receives clear and measurable roadmaps, recommendations and designs for their non-financial risk and governance framework and implementation support as required by senior management.

• The new prudential regime in the UK has now been in force for its first quarter and lots of investment firms will be working towards their first self-assessment – goodbye ICAAP and hello ICARA.
