Alpha Challengers Advisory Board Member - Director in the Regulatory Relations Group

Joy Mpofu is a Director in the Regulatory Relations Group at Morgan Stanley, advising the firm on the UK regulators expectations on financial risk from climate change, sustainability and credit risk. Day to day Joy provides strategic regulatory advice and guidance on all areas related to climate change risk and credit risk - facilitating open, productive and proactive relationships with the UK regulators.

She joined Morgan Stanley in 2015, starting as an associate in Global Capital Markets, then moving to the Legal & Compliance Division in 2016. Before joining Morgan Stanley, she worked as a transaction manager in capital markets at TD Securities and as a paralegal in capital markets at Allen & Overy.

Joy is on the steering committee of the Morgan Stanley African and Caribbean Business Alliance and for the past two years has been recognised for her contributions to help the firm with its strategic D&I goal of creating a diverse and inclusive work environment.

In 2011 Joy graduated from Exeter university, with a degree in Law LLB (Hons).
