Inclusionist Interactions: How to intervene as an ally
From your PC, laptop or phone - Via ZOOM
Come and join other Men for Inclusion 'Inclusionists' for our fortnightly virtual chat and discussion. We are welcoming members and non-members to join.
On 5th October at 6.00pm -7.00pm we will share practical tips on how to recognise everyday instances of accidental sexism that are rooted in unintentional bias. This includes what to say and do as allies and accomplices to call out behaviour that gets in the way of equity of opportunity for under-represented groups. Based on Chapter Four of The Accidental Sexist, we will share what we have learned conducting many workshops to help speed up the journey for you.
This session will be interactive. We will coach and practice interventions using examples of things that commonly happen: -
- Being interrupted and talked over in meetings
- Not being credited for your contribution
This will be the fourth of several sessions in which we share practical tips on what to do to accelerate progress towards making gender equality a done deal.
