I love what I do at E2W and Men for Inclusion. One week apart, two very different audiences, same message – inclusion is a win win.

Last week I sat on an amazing panel hosted by Aviva and Amanda Blanc for the HM Treasury Women in Finance Charter Industry Board Accountable Executives. Are our D&I strategies, policies and processes turning the passive majority ( straight white men) into resistors? I was talking about how essential it is to ensure that men see the personal benefits of inclusion and that they are included in D&I strategies. We will not reach gender equality without getting the majority on board and engaged in this win/win endeavour.

This week I have been engaging with a group of young people on their first day at City Gateway. City Gateway are a charity that exists to give everyone the equal chance to change the future. Based in East London, they serve people in communities most impacted by social and economic inequality. They seek to transform those communities by improving individuals’ life chances. They deliver programmes that enable positive, sustained outcomes in empowerment, education and employment. They work with young people to give them the skills, experience and qualifications they need to achieve their ambitions. And through what they do, they help change society. Amazing work Diane Betts and her team.
