Advisory Board Member

SVP Chief of Staff  Global programs and EMEA region for functions technology, Citi

There are two things that Louisa gets very excited about: people and puzzles. After changing her degree from Philosophy to Computer Science, she graduated with a 1st from the University of Birmingham. Louisa could see the power in technology and how it could provide lean solutions to complex problems. She started her career at JP Morgan, after a spring week and summer internship, working in the global infrastructure department. There, she managed data centre transformation programmes before becoming the global governance lead supporting the corporate investment banking equities and derivatives technology department. Louisa then went to HSBC where she ran a PRA mandated non-financial risk optimisation program across the global back office. She also led a culture change programme within the technology risk and controls department, driving greater collaboration and better employee engagement across the bank. In January 2021, she moved to Citi to become the chief of staff for global programs and EMEA region for functions technology.

Throughout her career, Louisa has been heavily involved in culture change, diversity and inclusion. She currently holds two board positions: Men for Inclusion (Connecting networks of Male Allies) and Women on the Wharf (Diversity and Inclusion across Canary Wharf). In April 2020, she co-founded the Women on the Wharf ‘Inspire’ series, a virtual learning and networking series which over 2,000 people have attended to date.

Outside of work, Louisa is a keen traveller, massive foodie and cellist.
