Mark Freed is the co-founder of E2W and has guided its strategic development on both sides of the Atlantic for the past seven years.
After an initial training on the sales and marketing side of the FCMG industry, he moved to the City of London in the early 1990s, focusing on financial software. Working in business development at Braid Systems, a financial messaging supplier, Mark identified and helped exploit the many opportunities presented by the then pioneering ‘STP’ marketplace, which contributed to the significant growth and eventual sale of the company. He next spent three years as Sales and Marketing director of the Credit Suisse-owned Citymax, acquiring record numbers of new clients and gaining market leadership among Crest interface suppliers.
Mark returned to Braid briefly in an international capacity to take responsibility for establishing the company’s successful entry into the Japanese market. He subsequently founded E2W in 2003, initially as a conduit between financial services interests in London and Tokyo, since when the company has grown to more than 50 staff based in Kent, UK and New Jersey in the USA.
